In order to achieve the goals set forth in the Enterprise Vision 2020 initiative, TIAA-CREF needed to continue to innovate and develop digital product enhancements for existing internal and external sales channels. These efforts were consistent with TIAA-CREF’s Life growth direction. The Life Insurance “Wizard” positioned TC Life to remain competitive and relevant in the industry by offering an interactive tool for potential and existing clients. The calculator increased life insurance awareness by 62% from traffic that previously existed. Unique users per month grew from about 5000 to 8000. These new users translated to approximately 14 new applications per month and 8 policies to be issued. 20% of these leads became applicants and 55% of the applicants became new policy issuers. Increase in online volume meant more revenue for the company.
