Holiday Inn Express, a sub-brand of InterContinental Hotels Group, wanted to create a buzz around their brand, but in a new, less conventional way. A daily web series showcasing what’s so smart about America was created. What exactly do we mean by “smart”? The clever, witty, innovative and unexpected ideas, places and faces that raise your eyebrows and make you laugh. For several months, two hosts drove cross-country hitting big cities and small towns to discover all the interesting ingredients in America’s great melting pot of smarts. The idea was to create an online community which in turn would ultimately steer the show and connect with the smart America concept. User’s could rate videos, submit reviews, give reason’s why The Smart Show should swing by their hometown or even use the blog feature to write about their own meaning of smart.

Holiday Inn is a wonderful option for both business travelers and family vacationers. To see how we’ve enhanced our ability to represent the Holiday Inn brand, my creative team created a new photo album, which showcases results from the recent brand photo shoot. It’s packed with smiling faces that welcome guests and remind them why Holiday Inn is the right choice for their next hotel stay. Whether it's with friends, family, or coworkers, Holiday Inn believes being there always matters. They wanted to make it as easy as possible for their guests to celebrate any moment together, big or small. This interactive microsite was a fun way to engage their customers in the new brand and remind them that Holiday Inn is a comfortable and affordable stay for them at more than 1,100 locations around the world.
